Masks and PPE – 19th July 2021

As I’m sure you are aware, government guidance on COVID-19 restrictions are changing tomorrow, 19th July 2021, part of which relates to the use of masks.

As a clinic, we are a healthcare setting and as such are governed by Public Health England guidelines which set the parameters of both our insurance and fitness to practice.

The current PHE and by association, Society of Sports Therapists (who provide insurance coverage), guidelines continue to be that full PPE must continue to be worn by all staff and that masks must be worn by patients unless legally exempt under the terms of the previous mask mandate. Masks are available for a £1 charge if you have forgotten yours.

We will also continue to require that patients complete a COVID-19 questionnaire (linked on your confirmation email) prior to arrival with screening continuing to take place on arrival. Our current hygiene practices will also continue.

These measures continue to be in place in accordance to the guidance that we are receiving, but also for the safety of members of staff, you as a patient/visitor, and subsequent patients that we are seeing that day/the following days.
